ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join the Romanian team of one of our partners - a product company developing a financial platform that offers nonprofit membership groups easy ways to collect, spend and manage money online.

Some of the features that the platform offers are group banking, seamless officer handovers, efficient expense management, secure payment and donation collection, and effective fundraising capabilities.
The platform is similar to PayPal or Venmo, but, unlike these, it is built for organizations, allowing the management of all group’s finances in one platform - create organized collections, track incoming payments, send reminders, and see who’s paid at a glance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications using mostly Cypress or other JavaScript-based automation frameworks;
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to define test strategies, identify potential issues, and ensure high-quality software releases;
- Lead and manage the QA process, ensuring that testing best practices are followed across the SDLC;
- Drive continuous improvement in test automation coverage, reporting, and execution speed;
- Help design and implement test automation strategies for mobile applications;
- Work with TypeScript to improve test reliability and maintainability;
- Identify, document and track bugs while working closely with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in web automation testing;
- Strong expertise in JavaScript automation frameworks, especially Cypress;
- Experience with mobile test automation (e.g., Appium, Detox) is a big plus;
- Familiarity with TypeScript is highly desirable;
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines;
- Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders;
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to advocate for QA best practices within the team;
