ABOUT THE ROLE
If you are a skilled Mid Backend Developer and have experience with Akka libraries, join a fast-growing startup focused on developing innovative casino video slot games. They offer a diverse portfolio of games, including virtual soccer betting and crash games.
You will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure that powers their games, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance. You will work closely with game developers, designers, and DevOps teams to deliver engaging and seamless gaming experiences.
As a trusted game provider, they partner with online gaming platforms to deliver high-quality, engaging gaming experiences to players worldwide.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases for slot games;
- Implement efficient, scalable, and secure server-side logic;
- Optimize game servers for low latency and high availability;
- Collaborate with game designers to implement new features and mechanics;
- Design and maintain database schemas for player data, game transactions, and analytics;
- Optimize database queries and indexing for performance improvements;
- Ensure data integrity, backup, and recovery processes are in place;
- Ensure the backend infrastructure complies with gaming industry regulations and standards;
- Monitor and mitigate potential vulnerabilities in APIs and server-side logic;
- Work closely with frontend and game developers to ensure seamless integration;
- Assist DevOps in managing deployment, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines;
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments;
- Optimize system resources to ensure smooth player experiences;
REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory experience
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role;
- Solid knowledge of .NET;
- Experience working with Akka libraries;
Other required experience
- Experience working with multi-threading applications;
- Strong knowledge of design patterns;
- Solid experience with API development;
- Experience with unit testing;
- Basic knowledge of SQL;
Nice to have experience
- Knowledge of TypeScript;
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript;
