NODE.JS DEVELOPER

We are searching for a Node.js Developer who will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and resilient backend systems using modern cloud-native technologies. Our partners are an outsourcing company headquartered in Cluj-Napoca and point of contact in close-to-client locations in the UK and US.

In this role, you’ll help shape backend services that ensure real-time communication, data consistency, and seamless integrations—focusing on performance, reliability, and clean architecture.

CIM collaboration

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, test, and maintain cloud-native backend services, primarily in a serverless architecture on AWS;
- Develop robust and scalable APIs using Node.js, integrating with both SQL databases and third-party services;
- Implement and manage real-time features using WebSockets;
- Maintain high standards around performance, observability, security, and fault tolerance;
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful product features;
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to strategic technical decisions;
- Apply best practices for CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and software delivery.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience);
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in backend development;
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.);
- Node.js in a production environment;
- Serverless architecture & frameworks;
- SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL);
- WebSockets for real-time features.
- Solid understanding of software architecture and distributed systems;
- Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with DevOps practices;
- A problem-solving mindset and a drive for continuous improvement;
- Professional English level, strong verbal and written communication skills.
