ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a clever System Administrator who will maintain, upgrade and manage our partner's software, hardware and networks.

Resourcefulness is a mandatory skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly while communicating calmly with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

Your main goal will be to ensure that our partner's technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently, and you will do so by bringing your whole self to work mostly, 2 days, in our lovely office in Bucharest.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install and configure software and hardware;

• Manage network servers and technology tools;

• Set up accounts and workstations;

• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements;

• Troubleshoot issues and outages;

• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls;

• Upgrade systems with new releases and models;

• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies and security policies;

• Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-3 years of experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role;

• Experience with networks (OSI model), Cisco and Ubiquiti technologies;

• Experience with monitoring systems such as Nagios, Cacti, Zabbix;

• Experience with Azure Active Directory and Office 365 Administration;

• Experience with MDM (Modern Device Management) such as InTune, Mobile Iron, Workspace ONE, Jamf etc.;

• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery;

• Ability to maintain an inventory of IT equipments;

• Ability to write and enforce cybersecurity policies;

• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms such as (Windows, Windows Server, Linux, MacOS, iOS and Android);

• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude;

• Excellent communication skills;

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

Nice to have:

• Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira and Service Now;

• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi and vSphere);

• Ability to create scripts in Bash and PowerShell or other languages;

• Ability to design, implement and maintain an IT Infrastructures;

• Ability to write technical and non-technical documentation;

• Ability to create IT Infrastructure diagrams;

• Ability to train internal customers on how to use company data, company owned devices and technologies;

• Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a PLUS.
